Is our Realtor Loyal?
Loyalty goes Both Ways!
Is your Realtor loyal to you? Meet with them and see what they have to offer – see how much time they’re willing to spend with you and how many questions they ask about your wants and needs. See if they offer to show you listings that aren’t their own.
Be prepared to work with your Realtor as though you are a team. This is a business relationship and you want performance, respect and punctuality – not fruit baskets and shallow compliments.
When other Realtors have to choose your offer out of a stack of offers they will go with the Realtor with the highest performance and is punctual with their paperwork.
Be loyal to your professional Realtor. Loyalty will assure your success
Some buyers believe that searching on line and calling every agent with an interesting listing is the path to finding the perfect home. They’re afraid of being tied to one Realtor who might not serve them well.
Those buyers might eventually be successful, but they’re making the process much more lengthy and painful than necessary.
Zillow – Trulia – Realtor … are not the best places to actually find a home. For one thing, many of the homes you’ll see on line are already sold, so you’ll be wasting a lot of time. A full time professional Realtor will only direct you to homes that are actually available.
Secondly, online descriptions aren’t always accurate or complete. Some make a shack sound like a palace while others fail to mention the very features you want in your next home.
I love to train folks to search for homes but it never fails that no matter how hard we work to fill your dreams, you may stumble into the best home on your own. A sign goes up while you are driving by, You see a friend at the supermarket and share something that raises your radar…
- Yes I attend a lot of Realtor meetings where I network with other Realtors and share information.
- Yes I offer the best search tools for my friends.
- Yes I send you fresh properties the moment they become available and can show them the same day.
Even with all that folks need to be ready to perform like a fireman headed to a fire. Folks have to be pre-approved. This needs to be fun too!
Loyalty is a two way street…
When you choose someone to represent you as a buyers’ agent, that agent will actively search for a home that fits your “Needs and wants” list. You’ll be notified each time an appropriate new listing comes on the market and will thus have the opportunity to “get there first.”
An agent who doesn’t represent you might call if they see something, but won’t actively look, because they know you might already be under contract.
